Ocean Kayak Scrambler XT Diving Kayak

I don`t know if this qualifies for your group but I like to dive and spearfish out of my Ocean Kayak Scrambler XT model kayak. I have a dive tank secured to the kayak with 50` of hose that I connect to my soft pack weight belt on the back side hooked to a brass ring, so I can stay connected to it while diving. It makes it so much easier not to swim out to the reef and fight the current. I have a piranha 3 depth finder for spotting the reef and I am planning on installing rod holders so I can do a little fishing too!

Living in Pompano beach florida in a condo I am able to store on the patio and live approximately 150` from our condo`s canal to the intercoastal. Some days the canal has so much action going on that a kayak would be just perfect. Really looking forward to doing more with the yak and enjoy your site and all the help too !

Thanks Pat Noonan.

Here you can see the fish finder mounting board Pat has going across his kayak. He also has his dive flag mounted to it as well. Alot of guys will make fish finder kayak mounting pates from the inexpensive cutting boards which are plastic and modify them to fit their particular needs.

Here you can see a better view of Pat's mounting board for his fish finder and dive flag. More and more scuba and skin divers are using kayaks for their diving platforms.

Here is another photo of the tankwell. As you can see, the scuba tank and hose takes up alot of the space in the kayaks tankwell.
