Pictured is a common setup for carrying multiple rods on kayaks. The rod holders pointing away from the kayak at an angle are called "Rocket Launcher" style of rod holders. Some come with different styles of bases so they can be used on many different models of kayaks. The vertical rod holders you see in between the two rocket launcher types are another common way to carry spare rods. You can see the leash on the one rod in the photo, which is a very good idea because you never know when you will have a mishap and possibly lose a few rods. That can get expensive very quickly.
