This triple rod holder made by Scotty Manufacturing is being widely used in kayak fishing today. There are other high quality mounting bars like the Rhynobar and Johnny Bar being used, but this Scotty seems to be a current favorite of kayak anglers. As you can see in the photos below, you can utilize the mounting bar and hold up to three Scotty products, or other manufacturers products that use the same post that will plug into the Scotty mount mounts. Some anglers will install the triple mounting bar up front and use it for a fish finder head and a rod holder or two. If you just want to use a fish finder for the day, you can either just plug the single Scotty product into the rod holder, or get a Scotty fish finder mount and plug it into the same mouth that the Triple Mounting Bar would use.

In my opinion, the real strength of the Scotty rod holder and mounting bars have is the versatility. With just a few mounts, you can use a rod holder, fish finder mount, triple rod holder mount and more. Except maybe for R.A.M. Systems mounts, no other rod holders and mounting bars offer the range of versatility of the Scotty system.
