Default Hello from Pennsylvania!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself. Looking forward to absorbing your collective wisdom as I prepare for my first spring-summer-fall of kayak fishing.

My weapon of choice is a 2009 Cobra Fish n' Dive-XF, which I'm looking forward to baptizing in one of our local lakes. Bass - smallmouth and largemouth - is my general fish of choice, although now that I'm properly geared up I'm going after those Muskies in Beltzville Lake, Carbon County.

Any other Keystone Staters out there? I'm sure there are lots of folks from the West Coast, given the great weather there all year 'round. I'm insanely jealous. I'm not sure how I managed to avoid moving there years ago.

Anyway, glad to be here, and looking forward to lots of stimulating discussion, if not a few downright scholarly arguments!

Some of my relalives live in PA and I have fished in a stream near Drifting and in a Lake called Black Mashanon(sp?). Ever heard of those places?

I am also new here up in the finger lakes region! This will be my first year fishing from a Kayak. I just recently purchased an Ocean Kayak Trident 11 angler. I got laid off this week so hopefully the weather turns around so I can at least get a little fishing in between interviews.

I'm new too, from Ohio. I'm heading out this morning as I"m sure the weather is just as good over there. I've never even been on a kayak in my life, I just wanted better fishing than from the shore! I just hope I don't tip over. I only know what I've seen on the net and what the guy at the sporting goods shop told me. Hopefully I have good DRY stories for you all later on today!.

Hello to you, and everyone else, also from Pennsylvania. Specifically the Poconos. You defenitely want to check out the Lehigh Valley Kayak Bass Fishing Club. Fairly new club but seem like a great bunch of guys. I am new to kayaking and everyone has been very helpful. They have tournaments within a short drive from you, including Beltzville, Mauchunk. Check their website. http://lvkbfc.webs.com/ Their is a tournament this weekend at Giving Pond in Bucks county. You might want to stop by and see what they are about. Pop

hello from Harrisburg, Pa!
I just got into kayaking this year. And i did it with a vengence! I just completed a 3 day 2 night trek down the Susquahanna. Great bass fishing. Great islands to camp on. Loving my new kayak. And not having to fish from shore.
