replaced prodigy 100exp with the pungo 120
After just 10 days in the Prodigy 10.0 exp I figured out that boat was really to small. (thats what I get for being cheap $550 vs. $775) I took the boat back to Southwind Kayaks (great staff by the way) and upgraded to my new pungo 120. This boat is very stable compared to the prodigy. Its very roomy and tracks awsome as far as I can tell. I had sissy bars (outriggers) on the prodigy which helped a lot. I also mounted them to the Pungo. What I found strange was the floats rarely touched the water. I'm gonna try the boat without them this weekend. Once I figure this part out (need or not need the outriggers) I am hoping to join some of you veterans either in Newport bay or Mission bay for some fishing . I look forward to meeting some of the locals. Thanks for the read, Jon Ps. thanks for the invite Seaslug. I'd actually prefer weekdays anyway. PM me if you wouldn't mind and let try to schedule something. |

Re: replaced prodigy 100exp with the pungo 120
Jon,
Thanks for the fish report above and congrats on buying a WS Pungo I had one of the "Classic" Pungo's I sold to Scott Shaw that runs around here sometimes and it was good for me and is very good for him also. They came out with a winner when they made that series. On a side note, I'm up for Perris. I have to wait a few weeks for work to get back to normal and maybe we can head out on a Saturday. TC&TL, Perry
