Cool Questions about a pungo 140 kayak

I will first like to explain that I LIKE MY PUNGO 140. I do have some questions about it,s safety regarding use on some waters.I would like to use this boat to fish on the mississippi river. With no bulkhead in the bow the nose will sink if filled with water.I,M CONCERNED IF I get in some rough water.Has anyone used bow floats to keep the nose from sinking in case of a CAPSIZE ? Also if this boat is capsized can it be turned right side up,pumped out,and re-entered? I WOULD LIKE TO USE THIS BOAT IN COLDER EATHER TO FISH FOR WALLEYE. SHOULD I DITCH THIS PUNGO 140 FOR THIS PARTICULAR BODY OF WATER AND GET A SIT-ON TOP? ALSO I forget to mention that there is no bulkhead in the bow of this boat. Also I would be using a spray skirt at times when needed.

Thumbs up Re: Questions about a pungo 140 kayak

Hey, thanks for the great tip.I just happen to have quite a few pool noodles left over in my garage that I used to cover bars with on my kayak trailer.
