Default Re: Questions About Buying...

nobody that i know in florida like sit-ins because it's too hot. sit on tops you are closer to the water and i would hate to fish in a sit-in

i have also been looking at the pelican castaway series but not many people know them, i guess. i have a friend that likes his though. look up wilderness system tarpon 100, it is less than 600 i think. it is a good kayak for lakes. it is also good for saltwater but it is a little short.

rain doesn't hurt a kayak but don't drag it into a hotel you just look like a fool doing that.

when you drop baits and then go back to shore is called paddling baits out or yakking out baits. i've done it has worked for me. i've only done it like 3 or 4 times so i so i don't know how well it really is. i've caught a catfish while doing it. i've never tryed to put it off the beach. the only people i know that do that are the shark fisherman. they like the bait to be past the wave lines.

there really isn't freshwater kayaks adn saltwater kayaks. they are the same thing. all you do is take one in freshwater and then you take one out in saltwater
