where can I go kayak fishing near Chicago

I have been checking out some youtube videos on kayak fishing and it looks like something I'd like to try. Does anyone know where I can try it near the the chicagoland area? I live the southwest suburbs.My concern is that if I invest in a kayak I'll wont have anywhere local to use it. That to me is a must. If I have to travel more than an hour it may not be worth it to me. There are a lot of local lakes but I'm not sure if you allowed to bring your own boat. They'll rent you one for sure.
