Default Short SD Bay Session

Brent and I launched from Lowrance St about 7am and fished until about 830. Pretty decent bite on the 12-16" Sand Bass with a few spotties and a sculpin thrown in. I focused on the Clam bed while Brent stayed on the shoal for the most part.

Brents hot bites came on the Blade while the Giant Gulp grubs that nate gave me on our Islander trip did the trick for me. Nuclear chicken color got the most bites fished on a 1oz Cotee head. Fish seemed to want the bait to stay in CONSTANT contact with the bottom. Hopping and swimming the bait I got very few bites but a steady drag accross the clams got bites. Most the sandbass were a realy subtle bite, just a mushy feeling and pressure. The spottie son the other hand slammed it.

Had a good time felt good to get out again even if it was just a short pre-work session. Think ill have to hit it again this next week. Next time ill remember to get pictures for WCB
