Default Barrett Lake Fishing

Got me a ticket to fish Barrett Lake for Sunday May 27, so at 1:30am, off we went to get there before the 5am gate opening time. A few Red Bulls later, we were on the lake.

The lake is almost at full pool and is very different from years past, when it was around -75 feet below full.

We figured out that the larger fish were in deeper water and started to target them instead of opting for the fly-lined senko route for many smaller fish.

Got a nice one fairly early on (and never take a photo with friends standing behing you)

Eric was up next, hooked to a nicer grade model, on 6lb Power Pro

Glamour Shot

A steady pick on 3-4lb fish continued throughout the day

We fished until about 6:45pm with the last 2 hours being very productive on crankbaits, jigs and spinnerbaits for the typical 1-2lb Barret Lake bass.

The bass and lake are looking really healthy!!

2 more Red Bulls before the return drive and home by 10:30pm!

Another nice day on the lake

Perry, you talkin' about my sweaty old hat or the SWBA hat Eric (EB) is wearing?

Don't make fun of EB, that boy has more bass knowledge than just about anyone I know I hate those hats, reminds me of the ones we wore playing baseball in highschool!

If you really want one, let me know and I'll hook you up.

Thumbs up Re: Barrett Lake Fishing

No funnin' intended. I was talking about the SWBA hat Eric is wearing. I like hats that have that type of mesh on them as most of the skull caps nowadays sit too tight on the noggin'
