PerryC is a jewel in the rough
Smile Big Bear recon

Between working at the desert, driving the tractor, and painting with the family we got to sneak away for a few hours on Monday April 17th. It was a beautiful day with some ground snow still around.

Heres a shot of the dam, and as you can see the lake is wayyyyy full ready for another trout season. Driving by Fawnskin, you could hit the lake with a rock from the road, it is that full. Cathy from Gold Mountain Manor told us the water was over the Stanfield Cutoff last week.

View out the truck window by Fawnskin driving around the lake. As you can see, they still have planty of snow.

After having lunch, we stopped by and saw Cathy, the previous Wilderness Systems Rep. She has one of the nicest Bed-N-Breakfast places I have ever seen. The photos are ok, but really don't do it justice. It would be a way cool place to stay for a romantic get-away.

View of the porch where you can sit and relax.

View of the fireplace in the common area downstairs.

Another inside view of the manor looking away from the fireplace towards the piano.

View of Garrett at the piano on the main floor.

I didn't get a chance to shoot the individual rooms, but they are way cool to say the least. Each has it's own bathroom and fireplace, or other type of heat source like a pot belly stove. You can visit them online at http://www.goldmountainmanor.com

Perry,
Awesome pictures! We might just have to make another trip up there.
That looks like a really nice B&B.

I'll be up there for the May Trout Classic in two weeks. Should be real nice. Water level looks great. Just need to hook into a few of the bigger hold overs.
