Irvine
Fished Irvine Lake with Charles, one fish for me. It’s been a few years since I fished the lake and have never in my life seen it so full. There is very little shallow water with most of the lake 12 or more ft. deep. Trolled for trout started in the bank areas and my one fish came as we crossed over towards Trout Island. It hit an old chartreuse crawdad crank that always has worked for me at Irvine (of course the hooks were dipped in Uni Butter). The fish was 1 ½ to 2 lbs. and fought hard on the 2lb test, got it up to the kayak and though 2lb no net saved my lucky crawdady and said goodbye trouty. SAVED THE LUKY LURE AND IT REWARDED ME We could see fish jumping and rolling and spent a lot of time throwing rooster tails, Thomas bouyants, cast masters you name it. Late in our stay we fished some reed areas that had some nice drop offs (think bass) saw a fish roll that was no trout. Next time I am going to spend some more time fishing the reeds. The joke of the day was IS IT TIME TO GET OUT THE POWER BAIT!fficeffice" />

Re: Irvine
Really wild looking fish in the picture! I like to fish for bass myself.
