Those are some awesome spots. Albert had found them a few weeks ago. Good show. Who won................??? Will B???? Impossible.

My son Clark came home from Hawaii today and even though I love to fish with all of you, seeing him made my year.

Here is to NEXT YEAR.

Most of us were catching Lizard fish while those guys caught Spotties. The fish seemed to be all lock jawed that day. It was still a lot of fun for my first tourney. I'll see you all next year.

That you to everyone OEX, Tenacious Baits, Reebs, and all involved this was a great way to break into the tournament side of fishing. I may not have weighed any fish, this time, but from entry to completion it was well organized, that participants were outstanding, and raffle prizes and such were top notch. I'll be entering into next years tourneys as well.

That's correct Angel, Will B(aka 3 pound Will) took the title from me this year. He fished docks as well as most of the top 5. I think the top 4 was

1. Will B.
2. Tyler M.
3. Ken R.
4. Mike G.

I say top 4 because there was scandel with 5th place and I think a DQ.

AOY went to
1. BRIAN SANNER
2. Ken Rosburg

We sure missed you and your brother out there, but family 1st.

Way to go Brian and Will. You guys are all over it. Too bad Ken....you were so close for AOY!!!! Brian finally proved he had the staying power to stick it to them for the entire season...... no more "buoy" jokes!!!! LOL

Don't want to hear about the scandal but I guess I eventually will.

MOST IMPORTANT: One of our own...... Kobra ended up in the ER two days ago....can anyone contact him and find out what happened?? I know about abdominal pain but since then, NOTHING>

Talked to Kobra Bob last night. I had no idea of what had happened. Apparently it was some sort of abdominal pain, but the cause of it is still unknown. He sounded good last night. Hopefully it isn't an issue and it is over and done with.

Yeah top 5 were:

Will Bowen
Tyler Moriarty
Ken R.
Mike Graham
Brian Crouse

All the top 5 weighed in Spotties........predominantly
I'll have the scores posted soon.

There was some sort of discrepancy with 5th place, possible misunderstanding, but either way rules are rules and with out enforcement, are useless. Either way it was not the guys first tournament. I don't know him personally but know for a fact that he has participated in several tournaments so the confusion factor of where you can and can't fish for Shelter Island shouldn't have been an issue. It's unfortunate, but it happens and should help hammer the message home that at Shelter Island Naval docks are off limits and if you can cast to it and hit it or practically hit it, guess what.......you're inside the restricted area.

After some grumbling last year I thought we nipped it in the bud.....

Quote:
No fishing within 50 yards of the bait barge, this means you as well as your bait.

The navy restrictions are subject to their enforcement. If told to move.....MOVE! Otherwise tournament rules will be 50 yards from any and all navy restricted areas, shore, ship or dock.

Congrats Will B. my hats off to you for the win. Also Bryan for pulling off the Angler of the year, I'm sure you lost some sleep over it last week, but you managed to hold off some other great fisherman to take it. Way to go!
