Random question: why are fast food fish fillets square?
Hello,
Just wondering. The fish they use aren't square. There's no obvious reason that occurs to me why the patties they make out of fish should be square, but so many seem to be - McDonald's, Burger King, Dairy Queen, Wendy's (granted, Wendy's burgers are also square). Anybody know why that is? Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet. References: https://arstechnica.com/civis/viewto...p?f=23&t=84134 Creative Video Branding Agency Thank you |

Re: Random question: why are fast food fish fillets square?
I'd say that it's because the fish fillets are ground into a mulch and then shaped in square forms. Fish has lots of bones that have to be removed, which means you can't serve that as fast food. When the bones are removed by a machine, the fillets tend to be quite messed up, so they mash them up and make square fillets, since they're going to have an unnatural shape anyways.
