new to Salt Water kayaking
I'm new to Salt Water Kayaking, all my experience has been on paddle boards in Guatemala; and I'm wondering about the feasability of getting a pelican Castaway 116 and I'm looking to use it in San Francisco Bay, any ideas, comments or suggestions? I'm 5'10" 165lbs, not the best of shape (smoker). thanks |

Re: new to Salt Water kayaking
I'm also new to kayaking, I bought a pelican castaway 116 and wisth I'd waited and got a t13 or something else. My pelican doesn't seem to track well and it takes on alot of water. I'm gonna sell it and get something else.

Thanks for the info, the thing is that for the price, it looks like a good deal compared to the T13 or the F'nD

Re: new to Salt Water kayaking
yea, price is right but it quickly becomes an addiction and you'll want something better, look for used. also i saw one at costco that looked cool. But as for Myself i still wish I'd just waited and got a good one. Either way, have fun and catch fish.
