Maryland Newb

Hey!

To start, I'm excited to get into kayak fishing. I've been fishing since I could walk and I wanted a new challenge, well new toy at least. I live in Maryland and I'm mainly going to be hitting small lakes for crappie, trout and bass. I would also like to try the Potomac for some stripers.

After doing some research, I think I would like to get a Malibu Stealth. My question is, what is the benefit/drawback of getting the 14' versus 12'?

Also, I'm still new to Maryland. Are there any other lackeys from Maryland that want to get together?

Im in northern virginia and plan on taking my kayak out in the potomac as well but in va. What lakes do you usually fish?
