Default Freshwater Fish Locator for kayak

Guys,

I'm completely new to kayak angling, and just recently bought a Ocean Kayak 11 Trident angler. I am looking to get a fish locator.

I am going to stick with Humminbird, as that is what I am most familiar with.

What exactly do I need to get the graph up and running on my kayak? Do they come with navionics chip? Are they easy to install or should I have a professional do it?

Sorry for all the questions, but like I mentioned, I am completely new to this, and with Spring coming on, I would like to get my fish locator rigged on ASAP.

Thanks in advance!
Scott
