newport 06/16/07

We hit newport saturday 6/16/07 from the coast guard station . the water has wormed up quite a bit and the sea lions don't seem to be as bold as they have been. we got right in to the fish. it was mostly spotties with a sandy now and then. I got about 8 legal bass and A bunch of shorts. my buddy did about the same except he got an 18 in. white sea bass. all fish cought on swim baits. all fish relised. on the water at 6am off the water at 11am. all and all a good day.things seem to be picking up chuck McElvain
