Question Where in the LA, Southbay or Long Beach Area?

I just outfitted my Malibu Two XL with Scotty's Toys and I'm ready to take my daughter (17yrs) out for the first time. I've been reading newbie posts on here for a while, so I feel pretty comfortable that I'm up to speed on safety and equipment. My last decision is where should we go for our first time. I'm really excited and so is she, so I'd like her first fishing experience in a yak to be great. I've caught sandies, calico's, cuda, butts and tails before, but all from party boats or along the shore. This will be our first Yak adventure. Where would you receommend I take her?

Default Re: Where in the LA, Southbay or Long Beach Area?

Cabrillo is easy, launch at the boat launch. bait barge is out about 1/4 mile

Redondo is easy, has a nice hand launch behind rubys/seaside lagoon.

Long Beach is easy, check out Cherry Beach.

No surf at any of these spots.

Thumbs up Re: Where in the LA, Southbay or Long Beach Area?

Thanks so much for the recommendations. All three are great - I checked them all out this weekend and we plan on going this next Saturday. This is exactly what I was looking for!
