Default Re: 1.5oz Spinbombs

Cashe,
Don't wait on me, cause it's gonna be a few weeks Spinners are a good searching type of lure to sue, and lot like a crankbait in that you can cover alot of water to see who's home.

For bays like Newport or Mission bay, I usually use 10lb line on a nice baitcaster. I'll try a white/chartreuse spinnerbait then some type of darker color if the first doesn't get bit. Weights I try are usually in the 1/2oz range for working them shallow to 10ft or there abouts. I may be off on the depth, but I'll try lighter then go heavier if I have to so I can work the depth I want. You can use them around structure, above eel grass beds or just about anywhere in bays. They can work if you toss them out, then give them a countdown then start a retrieve. If you're not getting bit, give them a few more seconds of sink time before the retrieve. They can be used in many situations which makes them a good lure to have in your arsenal. TC&TL,
Perry
