Default N.GA Change over. Advice?

Hi everyone. Been a paddler all my life. Owned my own 15 ft Lowe aluminum canoe for over 20 years. Due to the economic crisis, I lost my job, home and most of our vehicles and all the watercraft. Have been lucky enough to keep all my gear such a fishing tackle and rods, caving gear, etc. I was just excited by watching a Georgia Outdoors show featuring kayaks. Toward the end of the show, fishing kayaks were shown in use and one gentleman was using an open, basic kayak that greatly resembled a canoe to fish for redfish in saltwater marshes. Not to sound trite, but I think this is a case of love at first sight. This is exactly what I want to replace my canoe. Anyone familiar with what he was using? I'm slightly familiar with wood stripping and wonder if I could find plans for this type of kayak? Whether I eventually purchase or build, this is the one I want.
