Default Huntington Harbor / Anaheim Bay 3-16-07

Huntington Harbor / Anaheim Bay 3-16-07
Launched out of Seabridge Park @ 900 am into glassy water and murky fog. Hard out going current. Slight on shore breeze. Couldn't win pulled towards the bridge or pushed toward ecological preserve. Sun finally popped out @ noon, but started heading back. Casted a few more times and hooked up with a 16 1/2 in SSB with a Krocodile CHRM/SLV P-Lite. Sorry for the bad phone pic.

Thanks for the report. The Krock has been a staple lure for years and will probably outlive us all. Nice pescado.

Thumbs up Re: Huntington Harbor / Anaheim Bay 3-16-07

Thanks for the report Hank is right on the money about using Krocs. I like playing with the plastics in the bays, but as soon as I hit open water, the Krocs always seem to come out at some point during the day.

A few if us here often fish in the OC or LA area, so please let us know how a day on the water went or when you're heading out. I think alot of us are prefishing now for the bass tourneys coming up and are making alot of runs down to San Diego instead of fishing local, but some of the tourneys are in Newport which would be fun to do. TC&TL,
Perry

Nice going. HH can be pretty tough when the current rips in/out of there, which is pretty much everyday!!

The photo has a very kewl, artsy look to it!!! Very nice!

Dress up a Krock with a small grub tail on a long-shank hook and you got one nasty lure.

thanks for the tip on the Krocs.

I must have been asleep when the quick reply feature came in - what icon do you hit for the "quick reply"?

Steve,
Hope all is well with you and you are fishing on a regular basis. To use the quick reply, look at he message you would like to use the quick reply for, and on the bottom row or icons to the right you'll see what looks like a quill and a piece of paper. Just click on the quill and you activate the quick reply box. Lets go wet a line soon.

hey this works pretty slick. My son took out the mighty tarpon yesterday to H/H and nailed a fat 28" Hali on a 3' christmas color big hammer. Tasty....

JClays,
I've been looking for a close-by tackle shop that carries a good 3"-6" hammer selection. Did you find one? I can find a few of this color here and there, but a good selection under one roof would be nice.

Save on tackle in santa fe springs or the long fin on chapman and the 55frwy in orange have the best selections...
