first time lobstering and we could use some advice on where to go

We had this idea to go camping for a long weekend on the channel islands. We were wondering if anyone had any recommendations on where we might want to set the hoops for lobster around the islands? or maybe a spot you can recommend somewhere else? Neither of us have been lobstering before and want to give it a try. We live in the bay area and every weekend take our kayaks out crabbing in HMB. We have a blast but would like to try something different. Thanks for your help! If anyone wants to come out crabbing in HMB, it is a ton of fun and we have never come back without crab so it is good crabbing all season long!
