Default Long Range Kayak Mother Ship Trip

I was thinking of taking my first long-range kayak trip aboard Excel out of San Diego Ca. June 10-16, 2012 its priced right at $1560 and seems like a sick way to fish places that are completely inaccessible. Anyone taken a long range kayak trip before? Here is a link to their website http://www.excelsportfishing.com/

Default Re: Long Range Kayak Mother Ship Trip

I am signed up for that trip. I did a 10 day free dive trip in November of this year aboard the Islander. The owners where really cool to let me take my Kayak aboard. I was the only kayak fisherman on the boat. Our first stop was Bonitos island. I tosted out my jig before we even anchored and I was on. Then my kayak was launched and I landed another 5 Yellows, all good grade. I have done alot of trips on the Islander to San Clemente. I think the this Excel trip will be cool. I am just wondering how they will run the trip. The Excel said this is there first time doing a trip like this. The Islander is so dialed in it is amazing. You should go on there 1.5 trips to San clemente if you hav'nt already.

If this trip works for you I would book it. Take care. Hope to see you on the boat.
