Default Anchor trolley mounting opinions

Hello, I am new to the forums and have been reading the articles. Recently I just bought a Pelican Castaway 116 DLX. It has been a nice kayak so far but the included paddles need to go. Anyways I have working on rigging a anchor trolley system. I have a couple of questions. How far from the bow and stern should the trolley run? Secondly this kayak looks like it was made in 2 pieces and glued together, thus it has a lip. If I mount the trolley on top I run into the carry handle and paddle keeper. I am thinking of mounting it on the underside of the lip then the lip will act as a guide. The lip rides above the waterline so I don't think leaking will be a problem. Any opinions?

Thanks
Brian
