Default Tidelands

Well headed on out to tidelands after sleeping through my LJ alarm and my buddy saying "he actually wanted to catch fish!", so off we went!!

TONS AND TONS of larger ill tempered spoots!! First cast and Dan W. was on a small calico that got lost, and then it was game on from that point. The baits of preference were cotee crack head shrimp, root beer grubs and watermelon grubs and smaller top water crank baits. Lots of smaller fry in the water, I am guessing a grunion run is looming.

The coolest catch of the day was Dan W. got 2 mid size corVina with vampire fangs and all. If you have never fished the back bay for this species you are seriously missing out!! They fight like mini tarpon! I am planning on doing some night fishing soon off some of the docks near spanish landing for these super cool fish! If anyone would like to join me feel free to hit me up!!!

All told well over 20 fish caught and a super fun day on the water!!
