Just wanted to let you know the drill 12v battery only lasted about 1 hour. Now that was on my bait tank not the f/finder. I power my fish finder with a 12v 7ah sealed set up. If you prefer lighter, they do make smaller 12v battery say 4-5ah which are lighter and more compact. This type is half the weigh by my estamite. I just bought a 6v 4.5 ah battery for my bait tank and its just half the weight of the 12v I was using. Jon |

The 12V drill battery is for the fish finder only, I believe - should run it a long time. I just got the 6v, 14Ah battery for my bait tank - will try it out after I get back from week fishing in Mexico. |

I run my bait tank for 6 or 7 hours at a time on the 7AH 12 volt witout losing power. I would guess that the 14Ah 6 volt would do better than that as far as run time.
