Salona Beach Surf Report 4th of July
I met up with Bob, (Beachem) and Jackie at Salona Beach around 6:00 A.M.
Suprisingly there weren't that many people there yet, just a few surfers. It was overcast and the water was really skinny. Me moved around a bit. We saw a corbina in shallow that took off when it noticed us. I tried the morf grub, fish crack, and the Gulp sandcrab for no takers. I found a sandcrab bed and dug a few up. I landed this nice 13" yellowfin croaker on the first cast with the sandcrab. It started to rain a little bit. You wouldn't think it would rain on the 4th of July. We fished till about 8:00 for not much else and called it a morning. It was nice to get out and wet a line with some good freinds, even if the fishing was a little slow. Robert |
