New Member - Kayak advice needed
I know next to nothing about kayaks. I am interested in one to float rivers in Montana with class 1 – 3 whitewater. I will mainly use the kayak to float from one point to another and then get out and fly fish. I weight about 350 lbs. Could you suggest some models that I might start to look at?

Re: New Member - Kayak advice needed
Welcome to the site,
There are several kayaks on the market that have an appropriate weight capacity for you. this would be my primary concern for you while shopping a kayak because if you overload a boat it will become less efficient and unstable. The kayaks you should look at will be the Wilderness Systems Ride 135, Malibu Kayaks Xfactor/Stealth, and the Ocean Kayak Big Game. All of these kayaks are great and each has its own unique features. I would recommend getting on Chad Hoovers site www.kayakbassfishing.com and post your question there as well. that site has more anglers that do fishing on similar waters as you and they might be able to furhter steer you toward the baot they have found to work best for them. I have the feeling the Ride 135 might be the one they point to. If you need to talk to somebody about these kayaks or want to put together a package for purchase please feel free to give me a call at 866-587-2990
