Fishing
Now the only thing I need is another solo kayak. I still have the OK M2, but a single seater would be sweet. Looking at the 15ft Prowler and the Marauder although I haven't seen if they changed anything in the ****pit or not yet. We'll see,
Perry

Perry,
I was looking at the Maurader that was on display at the tourney last week as the give away, and it didn't look any different. Still little tiny foot wells. that was my only concern about that thing. Other than that, a pretty solid boat. I was looking at the Tarpon 160. Have you tried that out yet? Looked pretty nice. Davey |

Hi Davey,
The Tarpon is a very sweet ride, But it took me a couple outings to feel really comfortable on it... I went from a Extreme which is wider and more stable. The first day out on my Tarpon at Newport I ran into Mark Pierpoint and watched him crawl around the boat and figured if he can do it I can do it. Now I love the way it paddles, But its a bear to turn it around because of its length... The only other boat I would consider right now would be the new Hobie adventure... That thing flys on the water... It's like anything new !!! you'll get used to it... See ya out there !!! Dave |

Swamp and Dave
Swamp,
After fishing at DP today, I stopped in UP Sports to check the place out and meet the new owner/manager whomever was there. I looked at the Marauders, and it looks like they may have extended the front of the footwell, but without seeing the old one I had and the new ones next to eachother, it's hard for me to tell for sure. I also would like it alot better if it had a bit different footwells in it. Something where you could shift your feet around and have some room to shift your heels in or out for comfort. The Hobie looks very interesting also, and I hear it scoots real good. Who demo's them locally in OC? I was at the dealer on Ocean Blvd. by Cherry Beach a month back and they had them in stock, but no demo's per sey. It does look sweeeet... Perry

BBDave,
I forgot you said you had the T160. It looks like a pretty nice boat. I've had the pro2 for almost 4 years now. I've paddled quite a few different boats, but nothing that screamed "buy me." I was also looking at a navagator, simple, but a nice boat. I was checking out that hobie also at the tournament. I could rip the lips right off of the fish moving that fast. Dave it was good to see you again, it had been a while. Perry, it was good to see you at the show last week, but we missed you at the tourney. Hopefully there will be a fnq coming up sometime soon...hint hint. Davey
