S.D. BAy - 8/5
Jackie & I fished S.D. Bay this morning, launch time was about 6:30 to really nice conditions, sunny with a slight off shore breeze. Nice change from all the drizzle last weekend. The fishing was off and on, probably because there wasn’t much in the way of tidal movement. Seemed like there were periods when we were both hooking up and then there were the lulls, long lulls. One of the high points was Jackie catching her very first YFC. She actually caught three this morning.
Most of the SBB's were like these. Lots of boat traffic early everything from homeland security boats, sailboats, tug boats and big navel ships coming and going. Then there was these yahoo’s out there, I’ll call them Crocket and Tubbs in there cigar boat racing around. These two knuckleheads were buzzing the anchored a little after 9 A.M. We were quite a distance away so they weren’t bothering us but I bet they sure pissed off the Tidelands sea hag. All in all it was a nice entertaining morning on the bay. BC |

Way to go guys! Drew and I are going to head down there tomorrow with Steve in his boat. Those yfc's can fight pretty darn good for their size.

Congrats Bob and Thanks for the report. You two look like you got into some decent sized fish and had a good day to boot. I can't wait to get down there again, you have an awesome bass fishery there.
