15-20 kts and rain seems to be inevitable, hopefully they got it wrong! Right now it is still on, expect rain and dress appropriately. If you are concerned about your abilities, you do not have to go far, fish right out front and come in when you have had enough. Winds from the south and an outgoing tide would make me turn left instead of right to fish.

If you do not feel safe launching we will roll your entry to the next round........yes there will be a Trail next year.

It may be a little tough out there - but remember the weighboats are there for help as well. If you need any assistance or anything of that sort just give us a call or a wave of your paddle and we'll come over right away.

This wouldn't be the first SD Bay kayak tourney held in the wind - it wasn't so bad last time, just a little wet.

BTW Here's a pic of the weighboat we'll be on for your reference (tan on cream Crestliner with White Johnson outboard):



I will likely be rigging up a flag of sorts on a jigstick so you can identify it better. See you guys in the morning!

My weigh boat is the same as Andy's. Cream crestliner with a white johnson motor. Shouldn't be hard to find one of us.
