Hello!
I just wanted to say a quick hello as I am a new member, so I thought it would be nice. Any way I'm a float tuber who likes to get out when ever I can, and am in search ofdifferent fishing spots. Target being some nice Butt's or decent Bass action. So anyone with some info would be great.

Re: Hello!
Welcome to the forums I'm not sure where you are located, but theres a few spots that can be decent for bass and halibuts. Up in Long Beach area, I would try Cabrillo Beach and Cherry Beach. Both are decent launches and except for some ripping wind at Cabrillo, pretty easy to fish. In OC, Huntington Harbor by the Simple Green building isn't too bad. Just stay in the shallows because when the tide come in or out to any degree, it gets such a flow of water in the main channel you would need a 8lb anchor to stay put. Newport also is pretty decent to tube with some decent launched at 15th Street and Coast Guard Beach. Down south in SD alot of guys tube Dan Diego Bay and slam the bass and halibuts. Mission Bay and Tidelands seem to be popular launches. Now that it's off season, I'm going to be tubing more now that the boat traffic has dropped off. Maybe some night fishing also.
You ever fish the local freshwater lakes during the winter time?? Perry

Re: Hello!
Thanks For the info it should prove useful. No I haven't done any fresh water tubing, just salt, who knows maybe I'll get into some fresh water this season. I tend to fish the salt all year. I've fished Newport arround Bay Island before it was fun but not to productive. I've heard about the C.G. beach before, and also under the PCH bridge, but haven't tried them yet. I tend to fish arround San Pedro for the most part, and some times down arround Dana Point.
