Newbie looking for first kayak
Hello everyone, I just joined the forum and I'm looking for my first kayak.
I've never kayaked but have had alot of experience with a canoe. I'm looking for something small enough to be able to transport from Michigan to Florida on top of a Ford Focus. I will be using it to fish in lakes and possibly the Intra Coastal Waterway. I would like to keep the price under $400.
So far I've come up with the Emotion Spitfire in 8 ft or 9 ft length and the Malibu Mini-X.
Anyone have experience with these? Does anyone have other suggestions? Is an 8 ft kayak big enough to rig for fishing on lakes and ponds?
