Dana 6-20-report

Went out at Dana on Wednesday June 20. My companions were Viking (Wayne), Big O (Oscar), and myself. Fishing was great, wind was terrible. Wayne got a 31" halibut, and a lot of other various scaly monsters. Short white seabass, barracuda, etc. Oscar, who never keeps fish, got a lot of bass, and a legal halibut. Both Wayne and I got broken off by large fish which gave us sleighrides off Doheny. I got a keeper bass and a very large spotfin croaker. Also, I caught and released various other short 'cudas, smelt, short white seabass, etc. The croaker was over 5 lbs. Piranha :brews

I have a Trailer spot a Doheny Beach the last weekend in July. How far off the beach is good fishing and is there any kelp around? I was taking my ocean big game and going to practice surf launching and recovery.

Let me kill 2 birds with one stone, Sergio, we're going tomorrow morning from Baby Beach at Dana at 6.30 am, that's Tuesday, the 26th!:welcome

Beachem, the croakers were caught on cut fresh dead sardines! The other fish were caught on live sardines and crankbaits! :worthy

BTW, We may go out again on Thursday or Friday. Hotchkiss and Flick wanna do Redondo on the weekend. Piranha
