Tournament in Malibu this summer?
 

Here's a question for all you So Cal yakkers: Is there going to be some kind of competition/ tribal gathering/BBQ in Malibu (arguably the HOME of ocean SOT kayak fishing) before the summer ends?
I havn't heard a word in this regard, and would be a little dissapointed if a tournament type event couldn't or wouldn't get pulled off. Any excuse to fill up a ice cooler with beer is alright with me.
(The north beach@ Leo Carillo might be a good choice)
If anybody's heard of anything or wants to help put something together; summer's burning fast.

Scott,
I don't know of anything happening up your way in Malibu this summer for a get-together or anything like that. I think Big Hammer had something a few weeks back, but that is as much as I know. Dennis and CKF used to be the one doing stuff up there, but I dunno how much he's doing these days either. For myself, instead of having events like Fish-N-Ques I'm just concentrating on fishing from my kayak or float tube. It's alot easier and much more fun for me :thumbup Take Care,

I have absolutely no idea ,but why don't you try the big gamefish tournament in Southern Africa, could cost you less that $ 2000
