What about cooler weather garb and possible surf launch?

I live in San Diego area, surf site would be La Jolla Shores and wanted to know what I could wear and not break the bank.

Note: I have not tried surf before and I expect I will turtle, fall is here and warm days are dissappearing fast in that there is little time for lessons.

Would love to catch you out in San Diego along with kayak with you as well.... I bet you wont be able to beat me..... ;)
