Catching bass from deep water question

Hello All,
I fished the OEX Oceanside tournament and had a blast. Thank You to everyone who these events together, it was awesome. I caught all my fish (sand bass) in 75 ft of water and I reeled them up as slowly as I possibly could, I timed one, at about 4 min. None of my fished died, but they didn't look like they were doing to good in my livewell. They were constantly rolling upside down. I would catch 2 and sprint to find the weigh boat, so they wouldn't die on me. My livewell works fine, I can leave spotty in there all day. My question is, do I reel them up even more slowly? Are the fish going to die if they are rolling around for couple of hours? Still in the learning curve mode so any advice is greatly appreciated.

Greg, they may have looked stressed, but would be fine in there all day long with adequate flow of water.

Hi Greg. Congratulations for taking 2nd place. Well done.
Check out bends mender on their website. Works great for fizzing bass caught from deep water. Very easy to use also.

Guys, Thanks for the tips and I will also look into Bends mender.

Kobra, Thanks for the congratulation. I actually placed 6th. This is a big mental boost for me. Its my 3rd season, and my first tournament weighing a limit. I am psyched to keep at it and do better.

Oops. Sorry Greg. Congrats on your high finish and for your first limit. I used my Bends Mender on all my fish. It's easy to use and works great. See you at the next one.
Oh yeah, they are only $5. Take care.
