New to the Forum
 

I am new here and to Kayaks. I have been an avid fisherman all my life but mainly fishing from a canoe or wading creeks and streams. I purchased my first Kayak last weekend from Dicks Sports. Its a Pelican Potomac 100. Would not have been my first choice for fishing, but it was in my price range and I figured I could modify it a bit.

I took it out for a test run last night and managed to get in a 2lbs small mouth. It took some getting used to fighting a fish from that low to the ground, but I am definitely hooked!

Just wanted to give a quick hi and I look forward to learning from the group.

Hey man, I'm new to this forum to. You'll love yak fishing more and more, and when you have a real chance to take advantage of the stealth of a yak it's almost unfair.
